These are Prince Charles’ favorite songs | Royals

Called ‘Music and Memories with The Prince of Wales’, the hour-long program is part of the national Thank You Day to be held on Sunday. This honors all those who have made an effort to fight the pandemic.

entertainment">The 72-year-old Charles selected a total of thirteen songs, including La Vie En Rose by Édith Piaf, Givin’ Up, Givin’ In by The Three Degrees and Upside Down by Diana Ross. Also Don’t Rain On My Parade by Barbra Streisand should not be missing, according to him.

Special memories

entertainment">The prince met the singer almost fifty years ago and they have been friends ever since. Speaking about his music selection on Saturday, Charles said he has “special memories” of Streisand and that he is fascinated by her “hugely impressive” talent. On choosing Givin’ Up, Givin’ In, he said that song always gives him an “irresistible urge to get up and dance.”

entertainment">On the radio show, which will be broadcast on the National Health Service on Sunday, Charles also spoke of how impressed he was by the dedication of all healthcare staff in recent months. He thanked them for their “resilience and indomitable spirit” and said how important a health service is, especially in the present day. “I know it has been invaluable in connecting people, providing comfort and companionship, and cheering people up when needed,” he said.
