The A3 is one of the busiest autobahns in Germany. But there are a few other busy roads in Hesse.

According to BASt, the A3 near Heusenstamm (Offenbach district) took first place in the busiest areas in Hesse last year.  More than 148,000 vehicles (excluding heavy traffic) drove through here every day in 2021.

The A3 is also a busy road between the Frankfurter Kreuz and the Frankfurt am Main Süd exit.

According to BASt, the A5 between the Bad Homburger Kreuz and the Nordwestkreuz Frankfurt took second place in Hesse in 2021.  More than 132,000 vehicles passed here every day last year.

The A5 is also a busy route at the Frankfurter Kreuz and near Rödelheim and Frankfurt-Niederrad.

In 2021, almost 100,000 vehicles passed Niederrodenbach every day on the A45 between the Langenselbolder Dreieck and the Hanauer Kreuz.

The A60 connects Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.  The BASt 2021 counted almost 100,000 every day between Rüsselsheim and Mainz.

In the Main-Taunus district in particular, the A66 was well frequented last year with around 100,000 vehicles a day.

According to BASt, 80,000 vehicles were on the A67 every day between the Mönchhof triangle and Rüsselsheim last year.

Not only motorways are very busy in Hesse.  BASt also counted more than 70,000 vehicles a day on the B45 near Obertshausen last year.
