This August 15th, Claudia Sheinbaum She received the certificate as the first elected President of Mexico, from the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation, after which she launched some promises for the 2024-2030 six-year term.
In front of the Superior Court of the TEPJF he gave his first words and made some commitments, while upon arriving at the Metropólitan Theater he gave a second speech, almost on the verge of tears.
Here we list some of the promises he made in both places.
- “Fight to continue building equality and freedom for all women, especially the most vulnerable.”
- “Care responsibly for the future of our country, as we women do.”
- “Continue building a Mexico that is free of well-being, of rights, fraternal, independent, sovereign, democratic and fair.”
- To create “a government that does not repress, that respects freedom of expression, of assembly, of the press, of mobilization.”
- “He sees education, access to health, healthy food, decent housing, fair wages and a sufficient pension as rights, not privileges.”
- “Never again will the people of Mexico be treated with classism, racism, and women with machismo, they will be treated as equals.”
- “Sovereignty is always above groups or individuals, no matter how powerful they may seem.”
- “I make the commitment not to disappoint, to put all my effort, my knowledge, my heart, my effort and even my life itself to serve my country and my people.”

She promised to never distance herself from President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. “Our adversaries get upset when I talk about López Obrador, they think they are affecting me with their insults loaded with misogyny, what I would like is for there to be a disassociation, that would make a difference, that would criticize him. I will not do it, never, because for me it has been, is and will be an honor to be with Obrador,” said Claudia Sheinbaum.
- Continue with the motto “for the good of all, the poor first.”
- Do not increase the price of gasoline, diesel, LP gas or electricity in real terms.
- Do not increase the cost of the basic basket in agreement with business owners.
- Continue increasing the minimum wage until it reaches two and a half basic baskets.
- Continue labor improvements.
- Continue the Welfare programs; senior citizens, people with disabilities, high school scholarships, sowing life.
- Create 3 new welfare programs and make them constitutional: Support for women aged 60 to 64, universal scholarship for public school students, health scholarship for senior citizens from house to house.
- Rights of Afro-Mexican peoples.
- New system for teachers, eliminating the Unit of the System for the Career of Teachers (USICAMM).
- Expand the number of secondary and higher schools.
- A single health system for Mexicans.
- Popular housing for those without insurance.
- Build 3,000 kilometers of trains, twice as many as President López Obrador. A line from Mexico City to Nuevo Laredo and another from Mexico City to Nogales to the Pacific.
- Water concessions and strategic works to guarantee the right to water.
- Strengthen the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) and Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
- Food sovereignty.
- Strengthen the national economy.
- Facilitate private investment and nearshoring.
- Take care of the environment.
- Addressing violence against women by strengthening zero impunity.
- Strengthening art and sport.
- Strengthen the National Guard, intelligence and investigation.
