Deportivo already knows all the teams that will be part of the new Primera RFEF next season, the third category of national football. This past weekend, the Second Division season concluded, where two relegations were still at stake.
In addition to Albacete and Castellón, already mathematically relegated before this day, this Sunday Sabadell and Logroñés fell. Lugo returned to get an agonizing salvation, defeating Rayo Vallecano at home. Therefore, the First RFEF will have only three Galician teams: Deportivo, Racing de Ferrol and Celta B.
The rest of the clubs are those that achieved permanence this year in the third category or did not manage to advance in the final phase, as is the case of the Vigo. Now, It remains to be seen how is the configuration of the two groups of 20 teams that will be created. The logical thing would be to meet geographic criteria, but there are communities whose teams should be distributed in order to balance the numbers.
In any case, It will not be until summer when the RFEF announces the 19 definitive rivals of Deportivo. The A Coruña club already knows that to climb the fast track they must be the leader of their group. Otherwise, you will have to dispute a play off of ascent if it is between the second and the fifth. On the other hand, the last five classified would descend to Second RFEF.
