JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – New features in the form of audio captions or text closed caption (CC) for videos has now been present on Twitter since yesterday, Wednesday (15/12/2021).
This new feature allows users to see audio dialogue in text format automatically when watching videos on Twitter timeline.
More than that, closed caption it can also display other interpretive information from the audio in the video. Includes background sounds, music descriptions, or other audio cues.
Twitter Accessibility through its official account, @TwitterA11y, said that the way to activate the feature closed caption it’s very easy.

A couple months ago we rolled out video caption file upload. Starting today, all videos will be auto-captioned.

Then, regarding language support in the feature, while it is still limited to only 30 languages. Starting from English, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic, Thai, Chinese, Hindi, and several other languages.
But, according to monitoring COMPASS TV until this article was made, Indonesian language support was not yet available in the feature closed caption Twitter.
However, features caption for this video is actually not something very new because Twitter has presented it.
The difference with the current one, features closed caption Twitter must first be filled in manually by the creator tweet by including a caption file in SRT format on the uploaded video.
