Agrita wants to be an honest citizen, not to drive “for a hare”. At the intersection of Slokas and Kalnciema streets, e-tickets were sold in a kiosk last year, but for a year passengers have to look for other places. In addition, you cannot buy a ticket from the driver. Also on Aleksandra Green boulevard, a Riga resident has noticed that the only nearby kiosk has been closed for quite some time.
Other passengers I met agree with Agrita, you may have to measure up to a kilometer to the nearest e-ticket point of sale.
“Rīgas satiksme” representative Inese Rozīte explains that not all kiosks can actually buy tickets. She advises passengers to think ahead about purchasing an e-ticket, but still proudly reminds of the introduced code ticket. It can be used by scanning square codes on public transport with your smartphone.
