Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Mayor of Surabaya Tri Rismaharini inaugurated the Indrapura rental apartment (rusunawa) on Jalan Indrapura, Perak Timur, Pabean District, and then continued by inaugurating the Tambak Asri sports field, Surabaya, Sunday (16/8/2020).
In both events, Risma, Tri Rismaharini’s nickname, said goodbye and conveyed motivational words to the residents of Surabaya. He motivated them not to give up under any circumstances, especially during the pandemic Covid-19.
Previously, Risma wanted to provide motivation directly because of the pandemic. However, the plan was delayed. As conditions began to improve, Risma finally dared to go down directly to realize the plan.
“My goal is to build motivation, because it’s useless to build Surabaya well, but the people don’t get anything, right,” he said.
He also asked the Surabaya children to continue to struggle and work hard so that they would be successful and successful in the future.
“You all have the right to be successful and have the right to succeed. Now, don’t say anymore that I am just a pedicab driver’s son and so on, even though his son is a pedicab driver, you can still succeed, as long as you work hard. Risma also continued to remind Surabaya children to maintain and comply with health protocols in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. According to him, currently there are still many who are hospitalized. For that, Risma hopes that the people who are treated don’t increase anymore.
“So, I beg you to always wear a mask and wash your hands frequently. Wearing a mask is not good, but it is even worse if we get sick and have this virus, so let’s take care of our health,” he said.
On the same occasion, Risma said, Rusunawa in Surabaya was the cheapest in terms of rental rates, including those that had just been inaugurated. The special rental rate on the first floor costs around Rp. 96 thousand a month and the rental rate on the upper floor is even cheaper.
“In fact, the waiting list for the flat has reached 7 thousand, so there are many who are lining up to enter this flat,” said Risma.
According to him, people are now increasingly welcoming the concept of flat as one of their alternatives for choosing a place to live. Risma ensured that the Surabaya City Government would continue to build flat to accommodate the waiting list.
“We plan to build a lot, in Tanah Kali Kedinding, on Mount Anyar, Sememi and several other places,” he said.
As for the sports field in Tambak Asri, Risma explained that amidst the densely populated settlements, he hopes that this sports field can provide great benefits for residents. The sports fields that were inaugurated were futsal, volleyball, basketball and badminton courts.
“I also hope that later when this pandemic is over, I hope that in these fields we can build a cheap bazaar which will grow the local economy. We will support whatever at this cheap bazaar, but residents can also sell, maybe it can be held once a week. or when, please, “said Risma.
As is well known, Risma’s tenure as Mayor of Surabaya will end in February 2021. He began to assume that position since September 28, 2010.
