IDXChannel – Some anti-vaccine groups believe that there is a microchip inside Covid-19 vaccine. Until finally the Swedish technology company granted the trust.
Yes, a company called DSruptive Subdermals presents a microchip whose function is similar to PeduliLindungi in Indonesia. So, the microchip will help detect whether someone has been vaccinated or not.
The microchip is even being developed to track other infectious diseases, not just Covid-19. This is important so that disease prevention efforts in the community are maximized.
How does the microchip work?
The Euronews page explained, the microchip uses ‘near field communications’ (NFC) technology, which is the same as non-cash payment technology. This means that the microchip can be scanned by other devices, such as smartphones.
“Technology now uses NFC a lot, so when I have a microchip in hand, it allows me to communicate via technology easily,” said Hannes Sjoblad, managing director of DSruptive Subdermals, quoted by MNC Portal, Monday (12/27/2021).
This means that with the presence of a microchip in a person’s hand, the data will exit the hand scanning process and this will make case detection easier.
“The problem is when the data that has been collected leaks which means someone can get hold of the data, and the decision to remove the microchip would be very risky and difficult to put back into the hands,” he said.
However, this problem is quite difficult to obtain because once again, the data will only be read when there is a direct scanning process to the hand area. And amazingly, there’s no marker to tell you whether someone has a microchip on hand or not.
“This microchip certainly can’t track your location. So security is really maintained. You also have to know that this microchip does not give a signal, so the only way to detect it is to scan it directly into the skin,” said Sjoblad.
Microchip technology itself is considered more convenient and secure, because it does not track your location. That’s why this type of technology is widely used by companies to replace keys, access cards, or personal identification cards.
In Sweden, before there was information about the Covid-19 vaccine microchip, the country in 2018 had tried to replace conventional tickets with microchips.
Furthermore, a company called Biohax International, which is the party behind replacing train tickets into microchips, has also collaborated with health stakeholders to fill microchips with health information.
This is considered important in the case of a person being brought to the hospital, unconscious, without a known person. So, with the micro chip in his body, it will help the hospital detect the patient and be able to notify family members afterwards.
