Rafael Leão scored the lead and in the final stages of the match, Theo Hernandez fixed the final score to 2-0 with a spectacular solo performance. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, however, saw Milan’s victory from the bench.
The 40-year-old Swede, who was sidelined with injury concerns in the spring, started on the sidelines and was not replaced. Now Milan coach Stefano Pioli explains why.
– I thought we needed other qualities (on the pitch), says Pioli according to Milannews.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has an expiring contract and nothing has yet been communicated about the Swede’s future career plans.
– His future? We have not talked about it. It will depend on Zlatan’s will, says Stefano Pioli.
Milan leads Serie A two points ahead of Inter ahead of the final round, where the Milan club will face Sassuolo away.
