Many users who have enabled automatic updates have discovered that it may take some time before new versions of iOS and iPad OS are installed.
Now Apple’s software manager Craig Federighi announces that it’s because it’s chosen to roll out the updates gradually, which means that it can take between one and four weeks before the installation takes place.
If you want the new versions as early as possible, you should therefore choose to update manually, reports Macrumors.
By rolling out the updates gradually, the pressure on Apple’s servers decreases and therefore it is the same when it comes to automatic updating of apps and the like.
In addition, it may be a good idea to wait a while to avoid bugs that are not detected during the test period.
