Pto the morning of the fourth day of June this year, was Prince Harry (36) and his wife Duchess Meghan (39) parents of a little girl.

The couple’s daughter was born at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, not far from where the couple and son Archie (2) live.

She has been named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor – and is thus named after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth (95), who has the nickname Lilibet, and of course Diana after her late grandmother Princess Diana.

The family of four has created a safe and good life in California, and has expressed that they have come to stay – after they in the new year 2020 chose to withdraw from the British royal family, and move across the Atlantic.

There is reason to believe that the happiness is now complete for Meghan and Harry, and that they will probably not expand the family with more children – much for the sake of a topic they are both concerned with: namely environmental protection.

In the summer of 2019, a conversation between Prince Harry and animal welfare and environmental activist Dr Jane Goodall (87) was in print in Vogue. It was the prince who interviewed Goodall for the magazine.

Here he expressed that he wants to protect if the environment knows how to limit the number of children he and his wife want to give birth to.

– I have always had a close connection to nature. I look at it differently now, no doubt. But I have always wanted to make sure that, even before I had children and before I wanted children, Prince Harry said in the interview, before he was interrupted by Goodall:

– We have been very lucky so far

– Not too many!

Baby Sussex

Prince Harry himself grew up in a sibling duo, with Prince William (39) as his big brother. William, on the other hand, has had three children with his wife, Duchess Kate (39).

Duchess Meghan is the only common child of Doria Ragland (64) and Thomas Markle (76), but has two half-siblings on the father’s side.

Of course, a lot has changed since the statement in Vogue in the summer three years ago, and it remains to be seen whether a new Baby Sussex will be born in the future.

So far, they are enjoying their new life as parents of two children, and in a press release, Meghan and Harry expressed gratitude for their daughter’s arrival:

“On June 4, we were blessed when our daughter Lili was born. She is more than we could ever have dreamed of, and we are grateful for the love and prayers we have received from all over the world. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this special time for our family.
