A boot failure could be the reason why you cannot receive Windows 11 2022 via Windows Update.
The reason is that the error also affects third party programs
The company is now confirming that they are no longer rolling out the update because there is a bug in the way the Xbox Game Bar records audio. The problem is related to “recording in the last 30 seconds” and audio synchronization problems.
The reason they think the error is severe enough to block the entire update is because programs that use the Windows platform and APIs can also be affected by the error.
You can fix the error now or wait until the end of November
For those of you already using Windows 11, the KB5018496 update should fix the bug. This update will be rolling out to everyone by the end of the month and will likely unlock the update.
The aforementioned KB update is the same one that gives users an updated notification area and compact taskbar to Windows 11 2022 update users.
