On Monday, it will be decided whether they will give a vacation to the students in Plovdiv. This reported on Plovdiv24.bg Dr. Milena Panayotova from RZI. Then the Regional Headquarters will meet and the summary data will be presented on a weekly basis.
However, the interim data show that the incidence has increased, and from the samples sent for testing to the reference laboratory in Sofia, it is clear that influenza A is already circulating seriously in the district, with 7 of the proven samples affecting school-age children, pointed out Dr. Panayiotova. To date, a total of 77 samples have been sent, of which 23 are positive for influenza A. So far, influenza B has not been detected in the district.
According to the data sent by RUO, the largest number of absent students is in the municipalities of Rakovski, Peruštitsa and Brezovo – 30% each, in the other municipalities it is around 17-18%.
According to Dr. Panayotova, the data from RUO do not always give the true picture of morbidity, since the absences of students can be not only for health reasons. For example, the difference between individual schools is striking. In “Panayot Volov” and “Nayden Gerov” schools, for example, about 15% of students are absent. At the same time, 7-8% of absentees are in language high schools.
The weekly report of morbidity in the district will be presented on Monday. But it is evident from everything that it is increasing.
It is good that the opposite trend is observed in younger children. There, the incidence is lower than the previous week.
