Construction will begin in Prague and Litvínov this year, and is scheduled for completion next year. This will be followed by installation at a gas station in Kaštanová Street in Brno.

“I am pleased that after a demanding process of preparation and administration, we can finally start the construction of the first three hydrogen filling stations in the Czech Republic. Bonett won the tender for the construction, which was also consecrated by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, ”said the head of Unipetrol, which includes the network of Benzina filling stations, Tomasz Wiatrak.
–
According to him, Unipetrol plans to launch a public tender for the selection of a supplier for two other projects, namely in Pilsen on Nepomucká Street and in Prague on the D10 motorway in the direction of Mladá Boleslav.

Toyota or Hyundai, for example, already offers standard hydrogen cars. However, they are not sold in the Czech Republic due to the absence of fillers.
–
“We are ready to start offering our Mirai hydrogen model on the Czech market immediately after the commissioning of the first public hydrogen filling station. Emission-free operation, mileage of over 600 km and refueling time comparable to conventional fuels make a hydrogen cell car an unrivaled alternative to petrol, diesel and electric cars, ”said Martin Peleška, CEO of Toyota and Lexus CR.
–
Toyota has been selling the first production Mirai series hydrogen car since 2015 and will soon launch it in the second generation. To date, it has sold more than 10,000 hydrogen-powered cars worldwide. According to the company, Benzina filling stations in Prague in Barrandov and Litvínov will be supplied with hydrogen, which is generated during oil processing in the refineries in Litvínov and Kralupy nad Vltavou.
–
The Ministry of Transport stated last year that six to eight hydrogen filling stations could be established in the Czech Republic by 2023.
