There will be no registration of guests in restaurants, Prymula moderates his statement

We are planning the mandatory registration of guests in restaurants, said Minister of Health Roman Prymula during Thursday’s parliamentary interpellations. However, he corrected his words on Thursday evening and wrote on his Twitter that the introduction of this measure is rather unlikely.

“No one said that registration in restaurants would be introduced, it is just a theoretical measure, the probability is about 10-15%. It’s just a storm in a glass of water, “the minister wrote.

This “storm in a glass of water” was started by Prymul’s statement: “We plan that people who go to restaurants will register there.”

He thus responded to a question from pirate MP Ondřej Profant, who was interested in improving the so-called smart quarantine system.

The Czechia would be no exception in Europe with guest registration.

Visitors to restaurants or cafés in Germany are well acquainted with the registration from the beginning of the release after the first wave of coronavirus. At first, the operators of these facilities had it recommended, since June it has become an obligation with the proviso that the data can be destroyed at the earliest after four weeks.

Failure in Germany has been filled with false data, where instead of real names, people leave addresses for Donald or Batman’s duck. This week, however, the federal government, together with the individual federal states, agreed that a fine of at least 50 euros (CZK 1,360) would be imposed for fictitious contacts. The exception is Saxony-Anhalt, which has already canceled the forms. On the other hand, the highest penalty is in Schleswig-Holstein, where it can reach thousands of euros (CZK 27,000).

Prymula also stated that a more massive campaign is being prepared in favor of expanding the eRouška mobile application, which is currently used by about 560,000 people. According to the Minister, the current campaign is insufficient. The application is intended to help monitor possible contacts with people infected with coronavirus.

The deputy described the current government steps in the fight against coronavirus as unconvincing. According to Profant, the fact that the government does not publish enough information and its decisions are unpredictable, which leads to economic problems, contributes to this.
