There will be no drastic jump in the price of electricity after the new year, said the chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission Ivan Ivanov at the International Conference on Energy and Climate Security.
According to him, the new price of electricity will be affordable for households. Ivanov also commented on the possibility of a possible freeze on electricity and heating prices, which was also a topic during the talks on forming a government:
“What I can say is that there will be no jump in prices, which is predicted by the newspapers. There is no room for panic among the people! If this decision is made, we must be told who will pay for the real prices are higher and they are frozen. “
As of today, natural gas prices will rise by about 10%, the energy regulator has finally decided. In December, one megawatt-hour of blue fuel will cost 102 leva and 33 stotinki without fees and charges.
The main reason for the rise is the jump in natural gas on international markets.
