/ world today news/ Russia’s military correspondent Alexey Leonkov said that if Ukraine’s armed forces continue to delay the counteroffensive, Russian forces will “pressure” Artyomovsk and take active action themselves.
“The fact that Artyomovsk will be squeezed is already clear. The completion of the operation near Artemovsk gives us access to the settlements of Chasov Yar, Konstantinovka, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, and further destruction of the defenses will take place,” he said.
“Whether the enemy will still sacrifice his fighters is an open question. Most likely yes,” Leonkov said.
Alexey Leonkov noted that the Russian military is ready for attacks by the armed forces of Ukraine in other directions, and is also aimed at the rear of the enemy.
“Regardless of how the fighting goes in Artyomovsk, our units are working well in other areas as well. Therefore, if suddenly there is a counteroffensive, in other sectors we are all ready for it,” the expert believes.
“The longer the enemy delays this offensive, the greater the probability of our offensive. Our aviation and missile systems are working in the rear, destroying large stores of ammunition and supplies. The situation is developing in our favor. If the enemy does not go on a counteroffensive , we will have many reasons to continue on our own,” he told NSN.
