Season 15 of Apex Legends kicks off on November 1st, and in addition to the new hero Catalyst, it also comes with a brand new map to play on. It’s called Broken Moon and has a “heaven and hell” theme, which means the dark side of the moon is barren and cold, while the bright side is green and fertile.
It will also include an extensive track system for swinging around the map – which is significantly faster than cable cars on other maps – which is meant to encourage players not only to land on the edge of the map and then immediately move inland. The hope is that the teams will use different types of routes each time instead of similar variations each time.
Broken Moon will be slightly larger than World’s Edge and will include 16 different points of interest (POIs), some of which are significantly larger than what we’re used to. This is to reduce the risk of many teams landing in the same place.
