“Negotiations are ongoing in order to get the postal service running again in Felsőgöd. We are trying to choose the most optimal one from several possible solutions,” writes the mayor of Göd on his social media page.
Zoltán Kammerer said: “It is conceivable that Magyar Posta Zrt. reopens the office, but this would be the most expensive solution for the city. It is possible that we rent the building from the Post Office and open a Posta Point within the framework of a postal partner agreement, this is a cheaper solution, but it would operate with shorter opening hours, they would only be served at one window, but we could also put into operation a check depositing machine and a parcel pick-up machine,” explains the city manager.
Mayor Zoltán Kammerer explained: “It also seems like a feasible way to find another room for rent in Felsőgöd and operate the Postapont there. But there is also a fourth possible solution, which would be the most favorable and rewarding in the long run for the whole city,
but we still have to work for a few more weeks before I can tell you more about it. The point is that there will soon be a functioning postal service in Felsőgöd!” – reads the mayor’s post.
