League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is one of the cult comics written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Kevin O’Neil published in 1999 and just finished in 2018.
In 2003, the story was adapted for the first time into a live-action film with a cast of well-known actors, including Sean Conneryplaying Allan Quatermain.

Connery would say in later years that one of the reasons for his retirement from acting was due to poor decisions made in Hollywood by a “group of idiots”.
From The Wrap they report that a new film is in development within 20th Century Studios, who are already busy with Prey, the Predator prequel.

For now it is confirmed that Justin Haythe will be in charge of the script. His work includes having been involved in Red Sparrow, The Lone Ranger and Curse for Wellness. He assures The Wrap report that this adaptation will be much more faithful to the comics.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen focuses on characters from classic literature within a team set in the 19th century. The group includes Allan Quatermain, Mina Harker, The Invisible Man, Captain Nemo, Dr. Jekyll, and Mr. Hyde.
