Muuna – real name Sabīne Žuga – is a musician who is known to the general public as a band Carousel soloist. This association represented Latvia in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

“Dark Valley is like a retrospective reflection on the destructive facets of personality that are inevitably part of human nature. The interactions between the inner and outer worlds tend to be harsh, ruthless and challenging, but also transformative. A ray of light trying to break into even the darkest corners, “It is believed that light will always come after darkness,” says Muuna.
The recording and post-production of the single was made in collaboration with producer and sound director Gati Zakis, while the final editing was done by Minerva Pappi from Waudio Mastering In Finland. Drummer Rūdolfs Dankfelds and guitarist Mārcis Vasilevskis have contributed to the recording.
