There were 95 thousand cases of dengue fever during the Covid-19 pandemic

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – During the Covid-19 pandemic, cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (Dengeu) were spread across 472 districts / cities in 34 provinces.

DHF deaths occurred in 219 districts / cities.

Until the 49th week of dengue fever cases were reported as many as 95,893 with a total of 661 deaths.

As of 30 November 2020 there were 51 additional dengue cases with 1 additional death due to dengue.

It is known that the proportion of dengue per age group among 44 years is 11.57%.

The proportion of dengue deaths per age group is 44 years, 11.11%.

Meanwhile, the regions with the highest DHF cases were 5 districts / cities.

First Buleleng 3,313 people, then Badung 2,547 people, third Bandung City 2,363, Sikka 1,786, and fifth Gianyar 1,717.

Director of Prevention and Control of Vector Infectious and Zoonotic Diseases, Ministry of Health, Didi Budijanto, in his statement urged the public to implement 3M Plus’s Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN).
