The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its activities in the direction of the implementation of its duties, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to SIA, on the basis of the calls received on the “112” hotline, the relevant agencies of the Ministry have conducted 38 fire escapes, 6 cases of being helpless and 1 traffic accident during the past day. As a result of the emergency measures taken, the fires were quickly extinguished and people’s lives were saved.
In total, 7 people, including 2 minors, were rescued by the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the last day’s emergency rescue operations, and the body of 1 person found behind closed doors was handed over to the relevant authorities. Also, in Agsu region, the body of 1 person trapped in the vehicle, which was deformed as a result of the “KamaZ” truck losing control and overturning on the side of the road, was removed and handed over to the relevant authorities.
