According to our information, the victim of this murder is Bernard Cherfan, 42 years old.

At least two suspects burst into the Vietnamese restaurant around 7:25 p.m. to coldly shoot him with at least one bullet to the head.

TVA Nouvelles was able to meet two of the witnesses the day after the events.

A man who agreed to speak to us had just paid when the shots rang out.

“We heard a noise coming from the kitchens, we thought there had been an explosion, or that dishes had fallen on the floor,” explains the witness.

It was when he heard the second shot and someone shouted “get down on the ground” that he knew it was gunshots.

“We lay down on the ground and I saw someone running through the two doors. […] There were about thirty people inside, children, parents, grandparents,” laments the witness.

If the atmosphere of the restaurant was peaceful before the tragedy, four men seated spoke a little louder, including the victim, Bernard Cherfan.

Another witness who was having supper during the murder remembers the force of the detonations and the bloodshed.

“We heard two big explosions. It was very surprising, it was really strong. […] We sat under the tables, I called 911. Right next to me was a cartridge case. The policeman arrived to practice the resuscitation maneuvers, that’s when I saw that someone really got shot. There was blood everywhere, it was not very pleasant”, he concludes.
