On Wednesday night there was a massive explosion at the Jebel Ali commercial port in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. According to the government news agency, the explosion occurred inside an anchored container ship and caused a fire that was already contained and under control. For the moment there are no injuries. The port of Jebel Ali is the largest in the Persian Gulf and is close to the Palm Islands, the famous artificial palm-shaped islands built off the coast of Dubai.
