Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave the latest signal about the Russian attack on his territory. He said that currently Kyiv had reached a strategic turning point in this attack.
quote CNBC International, he did not specify exactly what this turning point meant. He only asked the Ukrainians to be together until victory was achieved.
“It is impossible to say how many days we still have to liberate Ukrainian land. But we can say we will. Because we have reached a strategic turning point,” Zelensky said in a televised address Friday (11/3/2022).
Zelensky also reiterated his push for stronger steps from the European Union to punish the Kremlin. He requested that there be more severe blows and the attacks would continue.
So far, no peace agreement has been reached diplomatically between Russia and Ukraine. Most recently, negotiations in Turkey between the two Foreign Ministers only resulted in a temporary ceasefire for the evacuation of civilians.
Russia itself has made it clear that it will continue to invade Ukraine until its goal is achieved. Russian President Vladimir Putin said his aim was to force the Zelensky regime not to side with NATO and recognize the annexation of Crimea.
