A shootout took place on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, in which a soldier was killed, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.
It is noted that the incident was recorded at about 10:30 on Tuesday in the Yeraskh area.
The Armenian Defense Ministry said that the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces tried to carry out engineering work to advance the positions.
“The Armenian side took a number of measures to force the enemy to stop these actions. The Azerbaijani military opened targeted fire on the Armenian positions,” the statement says.
It is reported that an Armenian soldier was fatally wounded as a result of the shootout.
