You won’t have to wait long for the next Samsung Unpacked event, which will unveil members of the Galaxy S22 series. The distribution of premium smartphones is expected to begin two weeks after the launch, in late February, but right in the middle of a global chip shortage, the question may arise for many: will everyone get it and, if so, how much to wait for our own copy. In the darkest scenarios, it could take up to 2-3 months for us to get the latest Samsung flagships in our hands…
Analyst Dohyun Kim said that Samsung itself does not rule out that the shortage of inventory could affect the distribution of Galaxy S22 mobile phones, in fact, the manufacturer expects that it will not be able to meet the huge demand for high-end smartphones. The analyst says this situation could worsen to the point where delivery times for Galaxy S22 models could be extended by 2-3 months.
According to the entry below, the Ultra version may be most affected, for which demand is expected to be much higher than Samsung can produce. And that would be much worse than before for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, because in some markets you had to wait for that, albeit only for weeks.
Samsung is expecting that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be sold A LOT compared to the production yield. They are also expecting that the delivery might take about 3 months if bad, which is worse than Galaxy Z Fold3. pic.twitter.com/POuFyorquC

Before everyone got ready and depressed, the analyst did not say that this was definitely going to happen now, only that this was the worst case scenario, which unfortunately has a chance to materialize.
Going back to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 with a foldable display: at first there wasn’t that much fuss around the mobile, and yet the company was unable to meet the demand for it. Because of this, several countries were forced to postpone the delivery of orders for a month, but there were also buyers who had to wait 6 weeks for their own copy.
