The deadline for the payment of the tax bills is approaching. Let’s see how long there is time to pay the amount due
The stop to notifications and payments ended on 1 September, which is why the Tax resumed with the ordinary collection procedures. The task for those who are struggling with tax bills so far frozen will be eased until the end of the year.
In any case, however, it is necessary to take into account the terms and conditions to be strictly observed in order to avoid unpleasant situations. Let us therefore try to better understand the scenario that could be envisaged for citizens who are still in default.
Tax records and tax peace: due dates
The conversion law of the Sostegni bis decree number 106/2021 set the deadline for the suspension of tax bills to be 31 August. The old regime has therefore been restored since September, but the question that afflicts the subjects involved is the following: How long is there time to pay the frozen sums?
The answer is until September 30, 2021. Considering that now the ninth month of the year is running out, the time available to catch up is very little. This concerns in particular the deeds expiring in the period between 8 March 2020 (21 February for the municipalities of the red zone) and 31 August 2021.
The aforementioned date is also fundamental as regards the fiscal peace. The installments due on July 31, 2020 must be paid. The next stop is scheduled for November 30, within which those who are not yet ready with the payments of the installments referring to 2019 and 2020, will have to pay all those due for the year 2021.

For both deadlines there is a tolerance of 5 days, which allows you to save payments made with a delay that can be categorized as slight. After this deadline, payments will not be considered for fiscal peace. Indeed, the forfeiture of the benefit is expected.
