Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The ultimate shareholder of PT Allo Bank Indonesia Tbk (BBHI) digital bank issuer, Chairul Tanjung, stated that he had collaborated with a bank, one of the largest digital bank players in the world, to develop the Allo Bank application.
Chairul stated, although he did not mention specific names, the digital bank has been active for eight years and has 200 million customers. To that end, the Allo Bank joint team will work together to develop the platform and technology.
“Allo Bank’s platform and technology were designed and developed jointly by a team from CT Corp, in collaboration with one of the largest digital banks in the world,” CT said at a press conference, Tuesday (11/1/2022).
By working with the largest digital bank, he believes that Allo Bank’s technology and platform have been tested.
“So it has been tested, so we believe our platform is able to answer the challenges of the number of customers, types of transactions and matters related to technology,” he said.
For information, Allo Bank will launch its first application to the public starting in March.
Allo Bank currently has an application. However, the application is still in the pilot phase in the internal 43,000 CT Corp employees. This number will increase to 200,000 users at the end of the month.
“We will launch the application in March for the public. We are targeting one million customers in the first week of launch,” said CT.
In the future, the number of customers is targeted to continue to grow. Allo Bank targets to have 10 million customers in the first year.
“This number will continue to grow, and we are targeting Allo Bank to have 50 million customers,” he added.
