“There is such a people” will neither participate nor support a GERB cabinet with a first mandate. The chairman of the party, Slavi Trifonov, wrote this on social networks.
“Last week, I promised “There is such a people” to act responsibly and support an expert cabinet, because Bulgaria has very real problems that must be resolved. I repeat – an expert cabinet, without party leaders. From then until today, no one had a substantive conversation with “There is such a people.” No one. No conversation was held. None. Nor for the composition of the cabinet. Nor for the structure. Nor for the expertise of the people in it. Nothing. Nothing. That means only one thing. That the prepared cabinet with the first mandate is not an expert. I don’t know what it is,” the ITN leader argued for the decision.
I continue to believe that the country needs a regular government and I continue to believe that it should be of experts and have broad support. There are still two terms left. Hopefully the parties there will put aside their narrow party interests and the interests of Bulgaria will prevail, Trifonov also points out.
On Monday, Maria Gabriel must return President Rumen Radev.
“We will fulfill the mandate and I will give names. For me, now is the time to move on to the next stage – support for a government with the first mandate with clear topics and priorities, an expert government for one year, we will now talk about names and the composition of the Council of Ministers,” said Maria Gabriel on May 17.
