Actor Harrison Ford attracted public attention with a speech delivered at the Congress of the International Union for Conservation of Nature in Marseille.
“It’s hard when you read about floods, fires, famines, diseases and telling your children that everything is fine. No, it’s not okay. But don’t run away from it. Shout, insist on justice, justice for Mother Nature!” said Harrison Ford at the Marseille Congress.
The event was attended by French President Macron, European Council President Charles Michel and other politicians, BNR reported.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature has presented its latest report on the status of more than 138,000 plant and animal species. More than a quarter of them are threatened with extinction, scientists warn.
