There is no water pollution along our sea, MT will give information daily

There are no data on pollution in the Bulgarian waters of the Black Sea after the spill of the “Nova Kakhovka” dam in Ukraine. This is shown by the data from the daily information that the Ministry of Tourism exchanges with the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The Bulgarian authorities are exchanging information with their Ukrainian, Moldovan and Romanian counterparts about potential water pollution in the Black Sea.

The Black Sea Region Basin Directorate (CBRD) and the Environmental Executive Agency (EEA) are also monitoring additional indicators of the potential impact after the incident. Monitoring is also done by RZI.

Satellite observations and mathematical modeling of water currents in the Black Sea currently do not give cause for concern. If a potential risk is identified, preventive actions will be taken and the population will be informed in a timely manner.

The temperature of the sea water near Varna today is 21.2°C, near Burgas 22.0°C. The coldest is in Silistar – 20.8°C.

The data will be updated periodically and will also be published in the English version of the website of the Ministry of Tourism, in the dedicated section „Information on the condition of the sea water on the beaches of the bulgarian seaside“.
