Issue
- When a user connects a Type-C headset to the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro Ultra Premium Edition and plays music via media players or other apps, issues such as no sound or progress bars getting stuck occur when waking up from sleep, resuming from sleep, or in idle scenarios. Adjusting the system volume also results in no sound.
- When the PC is connected to a Type-C headset, at the first boot, the user plays music through the built-in media player of the Microsoft system. There is a chance that the media player does not emit any sound.
Cause
Microsoft system has poor compatibility with Type-C headsets.
Solution
Workaround:
- Take off the helmet and put it back on.
- Press Win () + R to open the window Executetype cmd and press Entrée. In the Command Prompt window, type net stop AudioSrv and press Entréethen type net start AudioSrv and press Entrée. This should fix the problem.
- If you want to further resolve this issue, download and install a Microsoft hotfix, then restart your PC as follows:
