PDIP politician Henry Yosodiningrat come over Polda Metro Jaya to request that the report be under the leadership of FPI Habib Rizieq Syihab followed up. Henry said there was no longer any reason for the police not to solve the case.
Henry himself made a report to the Polda Metro Jaya regarding the alleged defamation committed by Habib Rizieq in 2017. At that time the FPI leader accused Henry of being a communist politician.
“I have nothing to do with any of the parties, but because I feel really insulted to say that a politician who is communist-leaning, is said to be hostile to Muslims, it is said that a politician who is boarding at the PDIP. I think it attacks my honor,” Henry told reporters. at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/11/2020).
At that time, the report filed by Henry was received by the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police. However, the investigation was nevertheless carried out considering that Habib Rizieq then flew and settled in Saudi Arabia.
“In the past, I could understand because the person concerned was not in Indonesia. Now it came yesterday,” he said.
For this reason, Henry urged the police to re-open an investigation regarding the case involving Habib Rizieq. He said that currently the police apparatus had no reason not to continue the investigation process with Habib Rizieq.
“After I made a report, the police concerned went to Umrah and didn’t come home for 3.5 years. I can understand at that time. But if now there is no reason not to be followed up,” he said.
