Kozhikode / Kottayam ∙ In the wake of the controversy, Mohanan Namboothiri said that there will be no more Ootupura for art festivals. He also informed that this year’s South Indian School Science Fair will not include cooking.
He was food manager for South Indian Science Fair held in Thrissur from 26th to 31st. But due to this controversy, he was dismissed. He now he stays away from contracted programs.’ He said the authorities of the fair held in Thrissur have been notified.
So far two children and a quarter crore have been served food through Kalothsavs. The children come back with full stomachs and minds without complaining. This time the controversy caused great pain. Things have gone so as to create controversy on the basis of caste. It is enough for the government to decide whether to serve non-veg food.
Serving children for 16 years. No major issues have been reported so far. But now, when a group of people are out there targeting one person, anything can happen. If we take the recent food deaths in Kerala, they are all due to non-veg food. A counterattack is also expected in the kitchen.
Previously, Mohanan Nambootiri prepared vegetarian food on a regular basis, but non-vegetarian food was prepared for the state school sports fair.

I lost my presence of mind in Kalotsava’s kitchen. It is not possible to conduct the Kalotsava kitchen without a situation to recover it. After the controversy, anything could happen. No one is blamed. I only have myself to protect me. Things have changed to kill an individual and society on the basis of caste with a specific purpose. If the complaint was about the food, he would have happily resolved it.’
