There is no more food for today in Gaza, warns the UN

Rafah. Israel yesterday intensified air and ground bombardments in both northern Gaza and eastern Rafah, after it ordered the forced evacuation of hundreds of thousands of civilians to aexpanded humanitarian zone.

The president of the European Council, Charles Michel, declared that for that entity the evacuation orders for civilians trapped in Rafah are unacceptable.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Organization warned that today there will no longer be food to distribute in the territory plagued by extreme hunger, due to the enormous difficulties of trucks entering through land crossings.

With all crossings into Rafah closed or unsafe, the humanitarian situation in Gaza has entered a downward spiral.said Georgios Petropoulos, head of the UN Humanitarian Affairs office in Palestine. Food, food and humanitarian aid channels are cut off. Starting tomorrow (today) people will only be able to count on the material they have now.

At least 300,000 people have moved from Rafah amid what the Israeli army calls the current temporary evacuation from the southernmost city of Gaza, CNN reported.

Artillery shelling hit the Al Salam neighborhood in eastern Rafah, while an airstrike destroyed a building in the Al-Hashasheen neighborhood in the west. At least 15 bodies were taken to Kuwait Hospital.

He added that leaflets were airdropped yesterday morning ordering residents in several northern areas to evacuate, residents said. Additionally, the army attacked military infrastructure in the Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia areas.

With no place to go
