The umbrella has become twice as expensive as the sunbed on some of the beaches along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. This is shown in a map for the prices of beach accessories of the Ministry of Tourism, with the clarification that the information is currently being updated, reports “Telegraph”.
According to her, at the moment, the shade on the Kavatsi-north strip costs BGN 15, and the sunbed is BGN 7 or more than twice as expensive.
In the north, on some beaches, an umbrella is 15 BGN, and a place to lie down, if you don’t want to put your towel directly on the hot sand, is 10 BGN.
There is a difference, albeit minimal, in Kranevo-South, where the fee for using an umbrella is BGN 6, and the deckchair, which is clearly not in such demand, costs BGN 5.
In comparison to previous years, there was a difference in prices for a very small part of the strips, and they were largely the same for both the umbrella and the lounger.
Reduction
This summer, the most common price for renting out beach accessories is BGN 7 and 10 per piece.
In comparison, most of the strips are double the prices of last year, when the Ministry of Tourism reduced the management fees of the strips by the percentage of the discount with which the beach equipment is offered.
Thus, in Sunny Beach, the use of beach equipment cost BGN 5 instead of BGN 10, and the fee that the concessionaire had to pay to the state was reduced by half.
About 20 stripes offered absolutely free umbrellas, and for them the discount was 100%.

This year, there is no such measure, and the concessionaires have largely returned the prices to the old levels, as they cannot exceed the maximum amounts stipulated in the contracts.
Thus, at the moment, the umbrella and deck chair at Nestinarka beach are the cheapest, it is clear from the price reference on the website of the ministry.
There it is stated that the price of the umbrella is 36 cents, and the most expensive shade is offered for 15 leva in Kavatsi, Bojurets – Topola 3, and in other strips.
It is relatively profitable to go to the beach on the northern beach of Burgas, where the shade is BGN 1.20. On the central strip in the seaside town, the use of an umbrella on the beach costs BGN 5, the same as in Varna.
There are places where the deck chair is more expensive, for example on the Smokini-sever strip, the shade costs BGN 10, and the deck chair costs BGN 15 per piece.
