During this afternoon, Sunday, October 27, UGT representatives held a meeting with the road passenger transport employers’ association to try to resolve the strike conflict called tomorrow, the 28th the reason for the strike, as we have reported in previous communications, that the historic request of professionals in the sector will be made effective until early retirement for professional drivers is recognized.
From UGT, we have reaffirmed our commitment to negotiations until the last minute and to find agreements that bring positions closer together; as happened in road freight transport, that is why the strike in this sector was canceled last Friday, October 25.
Despite the efforts made, it was not possible to reach an agreement at this time for the transport of passengers by road. However, both parties have said that they are willing to continue negotiating in the coming days to find a solution to the conflict.
Therefore, the strike is going ahead as planned from 00:00 tonight.
