They know the medicine is ready. Yet Aimee and Lara Koopmans, who both suffer from the incurable cystic fibrosis, do not get their hands on the drug Kaftrio, on which they have placed their hopes. The asking price of Kaftrio amounts to more than 194,000 euros per patient per year. The fact that the compensation has been rejected is a hard blow to the Purmerend sisters and their fellow sufferers.
