The government of the Jewish state urged the international community to condemn Iran’s new cabinet as “criminals”.
In a statement in reaction to the newly announced Iranian cabinet formation, made by President Raisi, the Israeli Foreign Ministry called the appointment of General Ahmad Vahidi as interior minister as an “embarrassing” choice.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry also took the opportunity to reiterate Raisi’s characterization as a “butcher of Tehran”, noting that he was responsible for killing thousands of Iranian dissidents while he was the country’s chief justice.
“This is the face of the new terror government in Iran,” the ministry said, as quoted by the Times of Israel on Thursday. “His ministers are responsible for killing people all over the world.”
