/ world today news/ This year, Bulgarian banks experienced a stress test that European banks play out only on paper. This was stated by financier Emil Hersev in the program “The Koshlukov Factor” on TV7.
He emphasized that this gives us reason to sleep a little more peacefully. He advised depositors not to move their money from their home banks to foreign banks as it could cost them financial losses and is associated with risk.
The financier criticized the governors and the BNB for their attitude towards KTB. The bank did not receive the necessary support. They showed inept management of a bank during its recovery procedure. And this casts doubt on the institutions’ ability to deal with another similar situation, Hersev added.
He believes that there is an option for saving KTB. The bank can be rehabilitated through “EPIK”. The fund claims to be able to provide financing even in the worst case scenario.
