Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) this morning opened up 15 points (0.26%) to the level of 6,001. The LQ45 index also rose 4 points (0.48%) to 848.
At 09.00, JCI was still in the green zone with 20 points (0.38%) strengthening to the level of 6,008. The LQ45 index also rose 4 points (0.51%) to 848.
There is news that the government plans to implement an Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) on 3-20 July 2021. The Emergency PPKM policy was taken due to the increasing craze of Corona virus cases in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the United States (US) stock market closed mixed. Dow Jones closed 34,502.51 (+0.61%), NASDAQ closed 14,504.00 (-0.17%), S&P 500 closed 4,300.92 (+0.21%).
Wall Street was mixed, with the S&P 500 index hitting another record closing high for five straight days in late trading Wednesday. Investors ended the month and quarter largely ignoring positive economic data and looking forward to Friday’s employment report.
This month, investor appetite shifted from an economically sensitive cycle to growth stocks. The private sector added 692,000 jobs in June, beating previous expectations.
Asian stock markets opened lower corrected after rising in recent days.
