The Joint Independent Fact-Finding Team (TGIPF) has touched the match schedule Arema FC with Persebaya which was held on Saturday (1/10) night at the stadium KanjuruhanMalang, East Java.
According to TGIPF, there are parties that have the power so that the match still takes place at night. The police, in fact, have recommended that the match take place in the afternoon.

Rhenal also said the TGIPF was investigating why Arema’s match with Persebaya was held at night. He said he would fill in the information gaps TGIPF had obtained so far.
“Ada split others, for example, there was a letter from the Chief of Police asking for it to take place in the afternoon. So, PT LIB asked him to do it at night. If he is rejected, why did the police lose and had to keep running at night? “He said.
However, he did not explicitly explain for whom the strong party might set the program.

Rhenal also mentioned the possible involvement of advertising cigarettes in setting up the program. Because cigarette ads can only be broadcast on television after 9.30pm.

The Kanjuruhan tragedy occurred on 1 October 2022, after the match between Arema FC and Persebaya. Malang police said they recommended to the committee that the match be held in the afternoon.
However, the proposal was rejected and the committee continued to play the game at night.
