This Wednesday there was a series of Accidents at an education union demonstration, in which journalists were attacked. The Secretary of the Presidency, Alvaro Delgadowas consulted on Thursday on his assessment of this type of event.
“Demonstrations, criticisms, opinions, whatever you want. There is a limit, as in all things in life there is a limit, a line that cannot be crossed, and which is generating acts of violence and intolerance, “she said.
“It seems to me that we all have to reflect on this, on the subject of respect and tolerance. In the case of yesterday (…) it seems to me that one can criticize, disagree, they have the right to do so in this case with the educational transformation. We are convinced that this is a path that Uruguay must follow ”, she underlined.
“This and social security are two issues that cannot be postponed, but can be criticized with tolerance and respect,” the secretary said.
