Jakarta –
Main Director (Director) of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Winarso admitted that his party had lost a parking area due to the construction of the Formula E circuit. This is because the Formula E circuit area can accommodate 4,000 cars.
“At the moment the need for Ancol land is very urgent, it is too congested. We have lost an area the size of the circuit which is very significant, car parking has decreased by up to 4,000 cars,” said Winarso in a joint working meeting with Commission B DPRD DKI Jakarta on Thursday (19/1 /2023).
For this reason, Winarso sees the need for land Ancol very urgent. This condition makes the manager plan to limit access to cars into the Ancol area.
“If we say backwards, we need that land, sir, because Ancol is already congested, our area is already congested, we said earlier that cars don’t have to enter because of the density inside, it’s a pity, people are entering the gate going to the beach to the east, to the east on Saturday-Sunday it’s already difficult,” he said.
Even so, Winarso conveyed, Ancol had made an agreement with JakPro regarding the existence of the Formula E circuit. In which, the contract was valid for 3 years from 2022 to 2024.
“In 2022 they will use 4 months, in 2023 they will use only 1 month to race, and next year 2024 will also use 1 month. That’s why we call the contract 4-1-1,” he explained.
As is known, the manager plans to limit cars from entering the Ancol Dreamland Park area. Later the manager will prepare a shuttle bus for visitors.
Later, visitors no longer need to pay for car entrance tickets because they only pay for the parking set by the DKI Provincial Government.
“We will push some vehicles so that they don’t enter the Ancol area. They will park, we will prepare a parking area on the lower side, the color pink this. We call unpaid (area) because he doesn’t pay for the car entrance ticket anymore. He only pays for parking according to DKI Pemprov rates. This is being prepared so that most of the cars will no longer be inside,” said Winarto, Thursday (19/1).
Winarto said that in the early stages, this policy could not be implemented 100 percent. Even so, he hopes that at least this step can reduce the number of cars at the location.
“It may not be 100 percent yet, but our hope is that from that capacity we have prepared approximately 70-80 percent. Before entering the gate, you may turn left. He parked here, just got out of the car and entered there. That way we hope there will be a lot less cars ,” he explained.
Winarto said that later the manager would prepare a shuttle bus from the parking area to a number of points. This policy is planned to be implemented in 2024.
Even so, he emphasized that this idea was still in the review stage. He also opened up the possibility of setting high tariffs for vehicles that choose to enter the Ancol area.
