– According to Dr. Jacek Jaroszewski, the current health situation does not exclude the chances of Milik’s participation in EURO 2020. The medical staff prepared a detailed plan for introducing the player to full training – we heard on Wednesday from the press spokesman of the Polish Football Association, Jakub Kwiatkowski.

Dr. Ramon Cugat confirmed on Thursday afternoon the findings of the Polish staff doctor. This means that the operation is not necessary and the rehabilitation itself can bring Milik back to his full disposal. Unofficially, it is said that Jaroszewski’s plan assumes that the striker will be able to train with the rest of the players within a few days. However, these are only preliminary findings, because it is not known how the knee will respond to the treatment. In the Polish Football Association, however, there are good hopes, because after previous injuries, Milik responded well to treatment.
– The condition of Ark’s knee is quite good, the injury is minor. He went to see Dr. Cugat because he trusts him. It’s not a problem for me, since I also know that he is a good specialist. From the beginning, we developed a plan to gradually implement it in training. There is no rush. The trainer agrees and wants him to be fully fit Euro. In medicine, it is never certain how rehabilitation will go, so I will not say when exactly Arek will be able to train with the whole group at full capacity – said Dr. Jacek Jaroszewski.

There is a lot of time, the footballer is to be ready primarily for Euro, but decisions will be made smoothly – said the doctor of the Polish team. After the injury of Krzysztof Piątek, the offensive of the Polish team was significantly weakened. In Sousa’s squad, apart from Milik and Robert Lewandowski, there are three more forwards: Dawid Kownacki, Karol Świderski and Jakub Świerczok.

– We still have a few players with minor GC injuries after the season, but there is no risk that someone will fall out before Euro because of this. Over the course of a few days, they will be training fully with the team. We also have Maciej Rybus and Paweł Dawidowicz with delicate muscular ailments, but it’s also nothing serious and in a moment both of them will be ready – revealed Dr. Jaroszewski.
The European Championship will start on June 11 with the match Turkey – Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The Poles will play three days later, against Slovakia (June 14, Saint Petersburg), and then against Spain (June 19, Seville) and Sweden (June 23, Saint Petersburg).
