WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, CIRACAS – Residential settlements in Jalan Pengantin Ali I, RT 10/RW 06, Ciracas Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, fogging or spraying was carried out after there was a case of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).
The Head of Ciracas Village, Rikia Marwan, revealed that previously there were residents of RW 06 who contracted dengue due to mosquito bites aedes aegypti.
“This fogging is focused on the RW 06 area, because there are residents who are positive for DHF,” said Rikia, Saturday (29/5/2021).
Rikia hopes that after fogging, residents will intensively carry out 3M, namely draining water reservoirs, burying used goods, and closing water reservoirs.
“Fogging was carried out by four officers using two machines, and spent one liter of medicinal liquid,” he said.
Rikia also did not forget to urge residents to routinely eradicate mosquito nests (PSN) in the home and surrounding areas to prevent the development of mosquitoes aedes aegypti.
“Residents can become independent larvae monitors (Jumantik) in their respective homes and always clean bathtubs, water reservoirs so that there are no mosquito larvae,” he said.
This is because the fogging effort is not part of the prevention of dengue fever because it was carried out after positive cases of dengue infected residents and larvae were found aedes aegypti.
When is fogging done?
