There is a corruption war against mayors –

/ world today news/ The revelations about the financial status and property of some mayors, which focuses media and public attention, is not accidental and it represents a war of compromise. Sociologist Mihail Mirchev said this in the “12+3” program of BNR.

All this is conditioned by the fact that the local vote is five months away. When the mayor was in power for four or five terms, he gave a lot of grounds for such a compromising war. This is part of the massive political war, the sociologist commented.

People are again used by some party headquarters or by corporate groups that want to intercept cash flows that are distributed through municipal procurement. Someone is organizing the peopleMihail Mirchev added in the show.

Arguably, the problem with “dead souls” is especially big in local elections, but control should be at the level of the town hall: The problem is big in smaller settlements, where there is an organized resettlement from one settlement or municipality in Bulgaria to another. Things have reached complete insanity. How is it possible for 30-40 or 50 voters to be registered at one address, in one dilapidated house. This is complete absurdity at the local town hall and administration level, because there are state standards for how many people can live in certain square meters.

There is something in common between the mayors who have entered the focus of public attention. The mayors of Haskovo and Petrich have 3-4 mandates each, which means that they stay in the local government for a long time. At the end of their third or fourth term, they lose their sense of proportion and begin to demonstrate prosperity. In Pazardzhik and Haskovo this was most visible, political scientist Dimitar Dimitrov said in the broadcast and added:

Most of these mayoral names that have been publicly discussed are independent candidates and have no party affiliation behind them. There will be quite a fierce election battle in some municipalities and it will focus on the replacement of mayors with several mandates.

According to analysts, the DPS is interested in supporting the election of the Reform Bloc for mayor of Sofia – Solomon Passi, because they know that he is a scandalous and unelectable candidate, and in this way the Movement will “soak” RB. That is why the DPS hastened to do it.

According to Dimitrov, the current mayor of the capital Yordanka Fandakova will be re-elected:

Therefore, it makes no sense to comment on who will stand against her. However, DPS is ready to do anything to discredit the current government.
