There is a cabin pressure problem, Singapore Airlines diverted to Germany

Jakarta

Flight Singapore Airlines (SIA) bound for Singapore from Heathrow Airport, London, England, had to be rerouted to Frankfurt, Germany after experiencing cabin pressure problems.

Reported by the media Asia News ChannelOn Friday (11/25/2022), Flight SQ317, an Airbus A380 aircraft, was carrying 379 passengers and 27 crew members, SIA said in a statement.

“The pilot decided to divert to Frankfurt as a precautionary measure after detecting a cabin pressure problem,” a SIA spokesman said.

Despite technical problems after takeoff, no oxygen masks were fitted during the flight, SIA said.

FlightRadar24’s flight tracker shows that the flight departed Heathrow at around 11:20am (London time) and was originally scheduled to arrive at Singapore at 7:50 on Friday (11/25).

The airline added that the flight “landed smoothly” at Frankfurt Airport at around 2pm local time with all passengers and crew on board.

The aircraft was then grounded for repairs and the passengers were assisted with hotel accommodation and food.

An assistance flight, SQ9326, departed Singapore at 0800 on Friday and arrived in Frankfurt at 1400 on the same day.

The flight is expected to depart Frankfurt as SQ9325 at 15:55 local time and arrive Singapore at 11:05 on Saturday (26/11).

FlightRadar24 said on Twitter that the plane dumped fuel when it was diverted Frankfurt. This procedure is used by aircraft in some emergency situations before returning to the airport shortly after takeoff or when landing near the intended destination, to reduce weight.
